Please message me if you have one for sale. It would be a bonus if someone had the frame and the wires too.
Thanks

If you can wait a few months ,it looks like Maxwell Drums in Chicago will have the new ones in from Dixon.
I heard $75 bucks with snares.
But ,a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
Thanks a lot for the information. I saw the video recently on YouTube of Steve Maxwell talking about the new Rogers USA. I'll have to keep an eye on how that develops. Thanks again.I
I just bought a used Dyna cheap without the frame and was thinking of adding one too.
But my experiences with playing ones in store with frame have been less then stellar.
I retrofitted the one I bought with Fat Cat pitched snares,a Remo M5 batter and a Remo zero collar snare side.
It sounds pretty decent.

Awesome chops. The snare sounds great! It's that COB shell.
Thanks.
The M5 head is a hidden gem from Remo.
Only 5 mils thick and it really does a nice job of eliminating the snare buzz without over muffling the drum.
One of the wires on my Dynasonic is slightly bent which is resulting in a nasty snare buzz. I will have to buy the puresound equivalent of the original Dynasonic snare wires. The Dynasonic in it's original configuration is the real snare drummer's snare. I prefer a Powertone 8 lugger COB with regular wires as a playing drum as it's more suited to what I do on the drums. With a brass snare I like to tune it low to get that fat sound, but you can't really use the Dynasonic in this way. You can, but it defeats the purpose of having a sensitive snare like this tuned low with loose wires for a big fat back beat sound. It was designed with Buddy Rich in mind after all. It's still one of my favorite snares of all time. I play mine with a coated Diplomat over a clear Ludwig Re so side similar to a Ambassador snare side. It sounds crispy, but I can't get a good sound out of the wires with that one wire that's bent out of shape.
Everybody's got their fave, mine happens to be the CF Martin Fibes with the SFT 690 throw.
No where near as tweaky the Dyna.
Set it and forget it.
Chromeo..... Fat Cat wires. half the price.
I honestly don't get the Dyna-Sonic hate. Too finicky? I don't see it. It is an easy drum to learn, a breeze to set up, it never fails. And always surprises those who hear it. Of course.... a few minutes spent understanding the drum wouldn't hurt. It is really not that hard to do right.
