Looking for used practice pads, especially anything from the 1970s or earlier. Almost any condition considered. Thanks!
WTB Practice Pads
Nice to see another fellow practice pad collector. Mine are mostly WFL an Ludwig. Lots of fun to collect these.
Been away awhile due to work and other commitments.
I put the pads I had into storage and only now have enough room to pull them out and enjoy them again.
Also still interested in finding more used practice pads from any era pre-1980, EXCEPT Remo tuneable which are literally all over the earth by now.
Happy drumming!
Let me know if this one is good enough:https://www.ebay.com/itm/282266616058

Yeah, I saw this one but can't swing the postage. Thanks much and happy drumming! Cheers from PDX!
My first practice pad in the 4th grade looked just like that one (except I didn't have the stand). And I currently have a snare stand that has that identical base. I've always wondered about the make and model.

Interesting collection!! Can you post pics of them?
Cheers

I've got an old WFL keystone pad if you're interested.
Me too!..I Should have grabbed it yesterday...at my storage...
Some photos of what I have right now. Still looking for a few other things to replace what was lost.
1. "The Globe", ca. 1940's or 50's (??). This thing is beat up but sounds and feels great.
2. Pocket Pal, ca. 1978. My high school sections leaders had these so everyone else had to buy them, too. I actually like this pad still for traveling purposes, though it has always had a bit of a "creep" issue.
3. Most of the collection as of July 2018.
L to R:
Ludwig, ca 1960s;
Ludwig, ca. 1960s;
Pocket Pal, ca. 1978;
WFL, circa 50s (?);
WFL "Porto Pad" ca. 1960s;
Weather-King, large and small sizes, ca. 1950s (? Please correct or enlighten me on these two);
Adam practice pad, ca. 2000 - I keep it as an example of something laughably hideous);
Remo, ca. 1999.
I'm currently researching history of pads in general and have been able to find a patent and picture from 1919. I am always looking for information/history and other funky old pads.
