WTB Ludwig coated snare head with pre Rockers Logo

Loading...

Need Coated medium head with Ludwig logo from early 80's pre-Rockers Logo. I have a mint Acrolite 1980-1982 but it has the Rockers logo coated head which I believe is about (1984?-ish).

mine also has the 12 strand plastic end wires.

I'm searching for the original part... 20 strand plastic end wires.

oh and snare side head too with the pre rockers logo.

Ludwig was using the Rockers heads at least as early as 81 as they are shown in the 81 catalog.

Researched what you said and I believe you are correct. I began drumming around 1980. But didn't know much good information of drums till late 1980's. Back then never concerned myself with Ludwig mainly because I was still playing the elcheapo junk I could afford (Percussion Plus). My first kit was a PTS 3 piece. The Ludwig dealer locally catered to the school marching band market. I remember seeing the Rockers when they came on the market but only buying Remo heads back then assumed the Rocker head timeline was when the Rocker drums came out.

I had swapped a friend my junk chrome steel snare for his Acrolite and fell in love with the Acrolite but like an idiot let it go when I sold the Percussion Plus kit. Since then I now play a Mapex Saturn Pro monster kit which I believe is among the best sounding modern drums ever. When an ole man blessed me with an Acrolite from about the same years I experienced Acrolite for the first time I want to make sure its all original and plan to put it up to give it to my son one day or set it up to play but still want the original heads and wires handy to make it back to original at anytime.
