I got some samples of BDP from jammin sam, precision, drummaker, and drum foundry. Im tryin to match a 60-63 BDP luddy kit 12-12-22. I already had a pioneer snare rewrapped in BDP. There were 2 different ones. Jammin sam's sample was a little blueish compared to the other ones that I thought matched rather well, In the meantiime I'm looking for a floor tom to rewrap to match my kit. I came accross this Luddy accent BDP floor tom on ebay and bought it and got it today, in fact. The wrap on the new BDP Luddy accent matches the Precision, Drummaker, and drum foundry samples excatly!
BUT!, it dont match the pattern on the oem vintage wrap. The color is excellent though. The pattern on the newer wrap is smaller than the original, but I couldnt hardly tell from the 2x4 sample. Ill park it in my music room that way till I find the real FT. Moral here is: You cant judge a wrap by a 2x4" sample. But you real guru's probably already know all that.
