This unique pedal was stored with the Rolling Bombers I bought.
It has a wire spring kind of like a screen door spring. The thing
actually works and as you can see was obviously played a lot.
I think it came from an even older set that I also bought. A 28" BD no badge and a metal snare 4X14 with wood hoops. no badge but 1927 stamped
on the batter hoop. A project drum for sure.

That is a great find. Cant help wondering who made it. He probably was very proud once he finished it and found out it worked :)

Here are some scans of a wood pedal that I own.Although it looks like a kid made it in woodshop,mine was sold thru a catalog.Sears JC Penny ,one like that . There were pictures of the pages( in the auction) that showed my pedal to the tee. There was one collector of Vintage Pedals bidding on this one,so I knew it was the real deal. you might look at 1800's/early 1900's catalogs and find your pedal as well.$$$$$$. Good score.V
