Hi all,

Wondering if anyone would have any info on this slingerland snare?

As far as i can tell from my own research i think it's a late 70's slingerland no. 141 festival model, chrome over steel 8 lug. Could anyone confirm this and if it is in fact this model, would anyone have any reviews of it?

Thanks

That's what it looks like. The shell is cheaply made. They take a flat sheet of steel, bend the edges over flat against the shell and then roll it into a shell. Then they spot weld the seam. They are constructed much like the Slingerland aluminum shell snares and the first gen Ludwig Acrolites. They probably can sound decent but I wouldn't give a whole lot for one given its construction.

Serial 407xxx would be expected for '79.
