Letting the items warm up to room temperature in their packaging when brought indoors will help discourage condensation.......:)

My drums are currently in my unheated detached garage, and have been there for two years almost, with no ill effects noted. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa. I have been "finishing" my attic for almost 8 years now...:confused:, and sooner or later they will end up either there or my daughters bedroom, whichever she picks I guess. My point is that these drums aren't like a piece of pottery that has to be handled with the utmost care all the time. They were made by real American craftsmen, using premium materials, who took pride in their work and because of this don't need to be babied. I am sure a slew of guys will have stories of this and that but to me, buying/owning top of the line anything means that it was made to be last and not be treated like a delicate china doll. I like the fact knowing that my drums were more than likely made by some barroom brawler from Chicago in the late 60's!! I think it adds a coolness factor unable to be replicated in today's instruments. Cymbals are even more cool. Imagine arm wrestling a guy who hand hammered cymbals all day long.....LOL. Built rugged by rugged craftsmen, bottom line. Just my :2Cents:
