Hello All,
That may seem like a silly question, but here's my quandary: I have some old Slingerland concert toms that are worth lots sentimentally but not much monetarily. To make matters worse, the silver silk(silver metallic?) wrap has shrunk and is falling off the shells, peeling like old wallpaper. Haven't used these toms in almost 20 years.
I have a decent condition Blakrome tom that needs lugs, and I'd like to use the old toms' lugs on those, without having to spend extra money on new/different ones.
Is there any other way to avoid the drums becoming oblong without having a head properly tensioned across the shell?
Thanks,
Dan
