I loves me some Acrolites..Yes Sir
Who wants this one?
I have been using my 70's pointy badge Acro the last few gigs. Got it tuned up really nice.
What great snare drums. I have another one just like it in a case I'm not using. I would like to swap it for a Blacrolite to use with my galaxy bass drum and silver sparkle toms.
I have this one - 1967 - and it is one of my very best sounding snare drums. Like I've been saying since I got it a few years ago....it sounds so snare-ie ! It's just a perfect snare drum. I'm more of a Gretsch guy but this drum is 'the bomb' as some say.
That is a very good end-of-auction price too.
I'm still amazed that these drums go for such a low price. They're pretty much the very same drum as the Supra. They're the same production clues = same shell, same snare beds, same badge - the Supra is Chrome plated while these are Anodized, the Supra shell drilled for 10 lugs these 8.
67 clubdates were actually shown in the 67 catalog with an acrolite. prior to that it was pioneers and jazz festivals. that acro would be right at home!mike
In that case I just had to have it!
