Which end is up on Slingerland floor tom legs

Loading...

I am in process of restoring my 1961 [I think] Slingerland set and I am just finishing up with the floor tom.

The 3 legs are straight and one end is round while the other end is flat with, what looks like a groove for a retaining ring about 1/2" from the end.

The set came with no rubber feet and I don't know which end gets the feet. LOL

I know it's kind of a dumb question but I want to get things as right as possible.

I can do a couple pics if needed but it should be pretty clear to anyone who knows the answer.

Also, oddly enough, one leg is about 1/2" shorter than the other 2. Although, identical in every other way.

As always, thanks in advance for the help.

Thank you sir. I have feet that I bought on eBay. I just wasn't sure which end was up.

In a sheer coincidence, someone just posted a pic of a Slingerland floor tom they restored and it clearly showed the round end up. LOL

Thanks again.
