Where to find large Sanding sheets for edge work

Loading...

Hi guys, Anyone have a good source for sanding sheets for manually re-working edges? So far, the closest I've found is 20" round disc sheets for flooring at most 120 grit. What's the recommended grit to use?

cheers

Glue 12" squares of any grit sandpaper you like to a sheet of MDF board. I assume you are trying to get a flat surface before rounding edges?

As above... I have just butted together standard size sheets and then "Gaffed" them around the outer edges and in the centre... 180-220 grit is what I have used and I also use "Wet & Dry" paper.

Cheers

John

^^^^ Yep! I used self adhesive sand paper in the std sheet size (8.5x11?) and stuck 4 of them together on flat surface for 17"x 22" total area.

Double side stick carpet tape holds the sandpaper well.
