Where to find bass drum spur for 20 year old Tama

Loading...

hey everyone,

I bought this Tama Rockstar DX in 1992. It's held up remarkably well during all those years except for one thing. One of the bass drum spur is broken. I need to replace it. It's the two things that holds the bass drum in place and prevents it from backing up when you play. This is a Tama Rockstar DX purchased in 1992.

If possible I would like to get the original part but if I can find a part that works just as well, great. Is it possible to find this?

Wich part do you need exactly? Post a pic please! I maybe have some Rockstar parts!

They are normally not that hard to find, especially here in Europe!

Hey thanks for the reply.

I went to a local drum shop this morning. When I showed the guy the part I was looking for, the other one I had that was functional, and asked him if there was a chance of finding a new one, he replied: "No... No chance." :)

So then I asked if he had a similar part that would do the job he went to the back store and came back with a Tama part, different then the one I had obviously but it was a Tama and it was remarkably close to the one I had brought. The shape was almost the same, the screws were perfectly aligned... It seemed close enough so I decided to get it. 25$CAD. Not too shabby.

Came home, tried it and it's a perfect fit. You'd swear that it was made for this drum specifically. Problem solved. Thanks for the offer. :)
