Where do you guys go for parts?

Loading...

I mean when the obvious places have been exhausted and failed you in your quest. I live on the west coast by Donn Bennett Drum Studio and a couple other places that have decent stock, and then I of course check eBay and VDF when I'm looking for something.

What's the next place you fellas look when the usual suspects don't have what you're looking for? Drum shops that will ship? Steve Maxwell?

Here's some websites I aware of. I've only actually used the first two, with good results. Yes, I use eBay and VDF also. Guess it depends on what kind of parts you're looking for.

There are quite a few members here that deal parts...Blairndrums, Vintagedrumbug, Mikey777, etc. just to name a few...These guys are top notch and have quite an inventory...

When possible, I like to deal with members instead of ebay and such...It makes the transaction more personable...

Cheers

I agree entirely. Do members here appreciate being PM'd? I've had very mixed results with posting in the "wanted to buy" section.

These are good suggestions btw except that village link appears to be broken, maybe their site is down), but these are places for modern parts. I need sources for vintage drum parts.

Olympic drums is a good source for parts. I've used them many times. They will normally work with you on prices a bit too depending on the parts. That said I have bought most of my stuff though VDF with great success.

Glenn.

The link does indeed appear to be broken. Funny, it worked when I posted it. I put "the village drum and music" into google and was able to access their site. Believe me, these are vintage parts, got my long tension rods for Club Date floor tom from them. Absolutely great guy there too, Anthony's the name I think...

Well now I can get on their home page but none of the links seem to work. They're having some serious site issues.
