The drum is worth what people will pay. Personally, I wouldn't pay over 200 for one, but that's me. I'm not looking and have no desire for one. I'm sure that plays into where I place value.

An 'honest' price for that snare drum would be, $275. to $350. somewhere in that range. It happens to be a great sounding/playing snare drum. I've never owned one, but I have played them. A hotel we played at had an old back-line Slingy kit with an artist snare. I loved the sound of it. I'd pay up to $350.00 for a nice one.

What a fortuitous topic! I was watching a Red Tiger Pearl Artist snare on the cyber flea market. It was BIN for 675 or something ridiculous like that. I don't know the sound of an Artist, and probably don't care much, but the fact it matched my kit was the draw. It didn't sell from what I saw, so maybe I will offer the guy 250 and if he counters one dollar more, tell him when he will take 250 for it, shoot me an email!

So, I guess if there are those who "must" have certain things like a matching snare, those guys selling them at those prices will wait for that guy with a truck payment to drop on the item.....Mind Blowi
