what's the dealio on this tub?( i know it's a Duplex!)

Loading...

Greetings!

first off, i need to figure out how to compress the Jpegs. taking 'em straight off the camera, they are quite 'heavy' any suggests??. HELP?????

so...just hooked the forum up and yes i have ?'s

i have a Duplex snare that has a badge on the wood hoop with the writing;

'Made by Duplex MFG Co. St Louis Mo'

i found on line the identical badge but no date indicated at site, for verification,i'd appreciate some feedback on

the Company

the drum;(what ever there is to know about it)

and the approx value.

also.....

the snare throwoff has inscription/stamp: 'Patent Feb. 1-10'

(exactly as it is stamped)

i'm guessing that patent info could be found somewheres in WWW land/

the drum is a single tension type with cast claws,

no drum key needed.wood hoops and an approx 3 in' deep shell. drum size;approx 3x14 and which appears to be one piece of wood. no ply here!.

if i can get some answers, i will then upload some pix( if i can figure out the compression method... Photoshop???) because i'd like to investigate the approx value of 2 other drums.

to start:(I have some other cool old vintage stuff in the 'barn')

those other 2 drums are both Leedy.

a bassdrum (12x18) badge indicates, 1930-48

and...a Leedy Blue(??) and Brass Badge tom, featuring a tack bottom, nickel hoops and claws that according to the badge is stated to be '49-50'

but back to the Duplex...what's the story?????

thnx

For pictures, open them in PAINT, go to menu and change both STRETCH sizes the same to reduce the picture. Different websites have different size limitations, usually by pixel size. You can check the pixel size under .

Good luck with the other info you want.
