I thought I'd share this funky drum wrap before it disappears. I'll probably remove it, which is a shame, because its somebody's artwork. It's a nice, African Mahogany Premier Bass drum. 20". The wrap is pasted on there real good.

Any suggestions on how to remove it?

Cheers for looking.

That’s a really cool find—love the vibe of that old kit! If you're not planning to fully restore it, maybe consider a gentle cleanup to preserve its character while still making it playable. It could be great for a vintage-sounding side kit or even a conversation piece in a studio. Either way, it’s got a lot of charm and history—definitely worth holding onto or passing along to someone who’ll appreciate it!

You can try gently heating the wrap with a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive, then slowly peel it off. Use adhesive remover like Goo Gone to clean any residue. Go slow to avoid damaging the wood. Good luck!
