guitar3 Oh... ! I see, feels like it's my birthday today! Clapping Happy2

I have read so much about the Ludwig company and sometimes wondered what the F stood for? But now I know. That was another cool answer, thank you very much!

My first drum-kit was a Yamaha set in the year 1969 when I lived in Switzerland. I was 12 years old when I one day forced my father to pay for a drum-kit by charging his credit account behind his back. When he came home after work and saw me playing he first got mad by the loud noise. He then asked me where the drums had come from. When I told him, he got very mad, but calmed down after a while, I was allowed to keep my "White Pearl Yamaha kit".

Two years later we moved to Greeenland and I got a new kit, a "Ludwig, Pink Champagne, downbeat-kit." This time it was he who bought it because he had noticed that I had made progress with the earlier set. He even fixed me a job there at a club. It was my first professional gig, and I was 13 years old.

Well, I wrote quite a lot this time, but I just had to tell how much I have enjoyed to play on my 70s Ludwig "Pink Champagne-kit". That kit also had a "Supraphonic snare".

The "Pink Champagne Bastard Kit" is my new nostalgia kit - - a way for me to celebrate the good old days when I was a teenager discovering the nice Ludwig maple sound from drums made in Chicago.

Fun to talk to ya, and yes, my name is Fredrik (Swedish spelling).
