It's possible that the snare in question could have came from the factory like this one. Can you confirm that the spacing of the holes for the strainer is smaller than the hole spacing for the common p83 still being used today?
Thanks

What we have is a really nice 14" x 7" vintage WFL shell in WMP. Not happy enough somebody has to take a drill to it and drill 19 holes in it. I really can't wait to see the shoddy workmanship as well when I take the lugs off. What was I thinking?! Even the throw is a 1960's Ludwig with a WFL front plate on it. Why do people think they're restoring a drum by drilling holes in it? It's just gone and ruined it. I'm probably going to have to sell this as soon as I get it. I like my drums to be fully original. I can live with non original heads or wires, but everything else should be original. Why do people have to go messing with stuff?

Yep, the hole spacing is just under 2" apart whereas the P83 is about 2.5"
