WFL Nickel Snare Butt

Hi,

I've tackled with cleaning WFL snare butt, but its looks are not good.

I tried using Grapefruit Groove & metal polish(Flitz).

The dirt has removed, but some nickel are gone.

Are there any easy methods to recover shine?

Or no hope?
