Hey all-
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I really appreciate that this community exists and I just think you all are a great bunch of folks!
I am in the process of doing a resto on a 1958 WFL bass drum. When I acquired the drum, there were two kinds of hoops on it: a painted wooden hoop on the reso side, and a metal hoop with a central groove on the batter side.

The drum was less than original condition when I bought it, so the way I figure it, the hoops were either metal, or wood, but not both, or maybe neither.
Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
