WFL 1955 Be-Bop Ludwig Classic Drumset Blue Sparkle Drums

Not sure the exact year?

The tone on these WFL drums is better than any Rogers I have played on.

Most of the original Cow skin heads are still on the set

except for the bass Batter & Snare Batter heads.

I put an Emad on the Bass Batter.

22X14 Bass

13 Top tom

14 Floor tom

5 Snare.

I would concider parting this kit for the right price.

Great Jazzy Kit!

best offer?

The drum color is all the same.

What you see is my camera with the flash

on and off. (different lighting)

It could be Aqua Cob color?

Or Blue Glass Sparkle? Not sure.

The floor tom is 14" x 11"

The monuted tom is 13" x 9"

bass drum is 22" x 14"

The drumset is very loud

the toms sing! Maybe because of the

Cowskin heads?

I dont know why? But this kit resonates

better than I have ever heard.

My buddy has a classic 60s Rogers, and

he cant believe how the WFL Throw.

I havnt gigged with it yet, but Im pretty sure

you wont need to be mic'ed up...

I have a studio with this WFL kit in it and my other kit

side by side which is a Modern Pearl Masters Birch.

I go back and forth.....2 totally different sounds, I

enjoy both, depending weather im playin Jazz or Funk?

Thanks for reading.

I dont know? How can I tell the difference?

I thought it was Crome over Brass....

Im not a collector.

All I know is the pics with the snare was taken with the Flash

off on the camera.

I saw someone just selling a simular snare on ebay

for 499.00..? and his was missing the original snare catcher throwoff, mine is original...

Anyway, he is just selling the snare. And he is a drum collector, he also told me that if I have the original aqua cob kit, it could be worth big bucks complete,

as a whole kit.... Im not sure what to ask pricewise?

I saw a complete kit on Ebay asking $1500.00...

I suppose I would take $895 for the shell kit...I could probably Get good money if I peice it out too...

nevertheless it sounds GREAT! Unlike any other

drums you have heard, better than a Classic Rogers

by far... I think the original cowskin heads make it

sound so good? Im tempted to gig with it. Ha!

probably doesnt need to be mic'ed up. its soo loud.

the First Tom & floor Tom resinate like tymphany.

I put the Emad on the Bass drum, sounds like a Cannon!

I probably need to put a pillow inside to calm it down a bit.

I dont want to cut a hole on the outside bass drum head, because

it is Cowskin.

here is the link below to the snare on Ebay>>>>
