Excellent work Mark. Everything cleaned up so nice hardware wise. And the WMP shell wow!! A ton of work but well work it for sure! 18" WFL floor tom has to be pretty rare too I'd think. Very cool process.
Wfl 18" floor tom rehab.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
Glenn, Thank you. you're correct on the rarity of 18" WFL floor toms, That is why I am willing to work on this as I have already.
This is a pic of the steel wool that I have access to,
I have a good friend that used to work in a local furniture plant. He used to tell me about that steel wool. Its just like I pictured. They would get a long piece that had been used and carefully attach/hook it to the rear of the supervisor when he would walk by and check on them. He'd be walking around with a "tail" and didn't have a clue! lol.
That's a fine drum Mark. Doing it right!
Mike
Mike thanks buddy, The steel wool that Hancock moore buys comes in a 50 pound roll, It is huge, Jimmy Moore one of the plant owners will sale me as much or as little that I need. It is remarkable stuff.
I've used it before and love it there's a lighter version ***lers use
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Awesome! Dod you have a kit you are putting it with?
Eric thank you sir , Of course I did But sold it after not being able to find floor toms for it for 2 year. So of course I finally find this one. I'll hold on to it, and put a kit together around it.
Shoot I forgot about that Mark. I was thinking cool he finally found his floor tom!! I remember now you sold those. Well the hunt is on! Hope you find everything you need. Yes Sir
