The drum shells look great. I hope that you are happy with the price you paid for the drum set. Enjoy them.
It’s a lot more than I was hoping to spend
but then again it’s one of just need to assemble it all
Thankyou

Hi Jaghog!
I've been following this thread and glad the drums look as good as you hoped they would! When it comes to price, condition is everything! The bare shells alone look like they're in fantastic condition. If the hardware is the same, then only you can judge if the price you paid was worth it. I know we're all looking forward to pictures of the assembled set!

Gary, nice drums! I hope to score one of those some day.
Thank you!

Can't wait to see them put together and set up! What kind of heads are you going to use on them? I'd advise you to try some coated Diplomats because they are very much like the old Ludwig heads in that they are thin enough to conform and seal to the bearing edges. But lots of people prefer to use coated Ambassadors. I got lots of brushes-gigs so the Diplomats worked great for that. In any case....ENJOY THEM!!

Oh no! Not another '67 champagne sparkle Ludwig Downbeat setup with matching snare (he says enviously). As the famous men's shop used to say: You're going to love the way you sound!
Get us the full dress up when you're done.
How many of us "mature" drummers avoided WMP and Champagne Sparkle when we were young drummers because those are the colors that the "old guys" played? I am one of them. But, now I love those wraps.
