weird drum question

Loading...

I had a drum set when I was a kid and I'm trying to remember what kind it was. It was junky in my opinion. And it was weird, the heads were pre tensioned and you could just clip them off quick with these little clips and put a new one on in seconds. Anyone have any ideas? I hope it wasn't worth anything haha

Didn't Louie Bellson play them for a while? My brother had a set for about 3 months. They sounded great, but the extra equipment you had to carry around to each gig was a big PITA because you had to keep complete tuned and ready to go sets of heads. Nice but a bit too much to lug around.

I'm not a fan of Remo drums in general, but those PTS contraptions deserve their own little circle of hell.

An interesting idea that ended up just being a footnote in drum history, sad to say.
