I never completed my Gretsch set as a Cadillac Green set because I never saw that green as the same hue or shade as the pictures that I've seen of Birdland drums. There are several different shades of Cadillac Green used over the years, but none were as good as the original color. I just saw a guitar finished in Chevy Channel Green, and to me it looks spot on. What do you CG lovers think?
Was Cadillac Green really Chevrolet Channel Green?
The pick up truck looks a little too "Army" green to me .
How about just a Gretsch Guitar's shade..
or 50s Cadillac (car itself
I'd add Cadillac Green may have been more than an Army green a "Forest" green..little prettier than army. more leafy green..

Yeah, I've already seen those. They don't look right. A couple are way-off. You might be right on the Army color.
You really can't go by pictures. There are too many variables to get anything remotely accurate. Also, how you spray a metallic paint can affect the shade somewhat. The only real way to tell is to compare things side by side.
Do you have at least one drum in Cadillac Green you can use a a reference?
The early CG did not have metallic paint.
Well, regardless, you can't tell anything by looking at pictures on a computer screen. If you have a drum in the correct color you can take it to a automobile paint store and they can scan it and mix up the correct paint for you.
