The rapid strainer on my c.1959 Slingerland Student Model snare will no longer reliably lock the snares in the "on" position. I suspect the cam assembly is worn in the area highlighted here (this is a stock photo; the cam on mine is considerably more worn than this one):

Anyway, I'd like to replace the strainer with one that's period-correct. Supposedly, it's called a "Second" or "Type II" rapid strainer, as detailed here:
http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/drcjw/article_5_strainers_rapid-2.html
I'd also be willing to buy a later 60's-70's type rapid if necessary (the kind with the thick rubber stop washer), provided it's got the 2.5" hole spacing to match my drum.
Or, I'd definitely be interested in just a replacement throwoff arm/cam assembly to fit mine, if anybody has one. The whole strainer mechanism is held together with 2 e-clip/snap ring thingies, so it shouldn't be a problem to replace.
Please PM me with info, price, etc.
Thanks!
