Which kit is it? What is the color? What else comes with it? If you can add some info on this, we can get a better idea of what you have. Those look pretty cool.

It's a blue one, with 2 tom toms, 12¨(not on picture) and 13¨¨, and 16¨ floor tom. Exactly as the link that I provided shows. The only difference is that I have 2 hanging tom toms. I've don't have the original snare, I've got a Rogers Dyna-sonic also from late 60's.

If it's from 1965, it's a STAR - not a Tama.

Star is the predecessor of Tama. But Tama started in 1974.

So it's still a Star (just to be correct).

It's really difficult to give you an idea about the possible value.

all damper knobs in place? / condition of the hardware: chrome pitting?)

of the set?

What do you mean with 'blue'? Blue sparkle? Metallic blue? Blue pearl?

In general, sets like this one will cost EUR 100 - 150 (approx.).

Is the Rogers snare drum part of the deal?

The Rogers snare and the set was the same deal, I bought it all for like 200$ which was a great deal. The one how sold it didn't know it was a Rogers Dyna.

When I say Blue I mean Metalic Blue, The link that I will provide will show you exactly how my set looks like, but mine is blue though (see my first link for color) and without the original snare.

There are few scratches and such and everything is in order. The only thing is that the wrap on the 13'' tom has started to give in but I will fix that.

You might know better than me, but as far as I understand by looking in Tama's old catalogs there was a set called STAR before 1965, but 1965 they started to manufactur the Swingstar which was made by Tama? Am I completly wrong? Cause I know that they started producing the IMPERIALSTAR in 1974.

You'd better say: 'A set from the company STAR ...'

They (Star) changed the company's name into TAMA in 1974

due to legal reasons with selling 'Star' drums into the USA. That's all.

Tama remembered it's roots always by adding 'Star' to their product lines - until today! - like: RoyalStar, ImperialStar, SwingStar, ArtStar, RockStar, Starclassic etc.

The 'SwingStar' you own was a (cheaper) product line from Star at that time.

Big deal (especially with the Rogers snare)!

I guess the set itself has a value between US$ 100 - 200.

I would agree with Ralf. They are just not very valuable in terms of dollars. If they are in decent shape and sound good then enjoy them for what they are.
