I found this 'thing'. Guy says it's a Sonor. Looks to me like a 'mutant' kit pieced together by different parts. Almost sure the 2 concert toms are Tacton. The bass drum puzzles me: 20"x32". Researched all Sonor resources I could find on the net, no sign of such size. No badges, strange tom mount and lugs - is there something sonor there besides the writing on the bd reso? What do you think we have here?
Vintage Sonor? or 'mutant' kit?
All the hardware on this drum is from Amati and Tacton.Ceskoslovakian and East German producers.Lugs and tom holder are from Amati, also bass drum spirs, but those, sory for my english.screws that hold bas drum claws are from Tacton drums. So,that is about hardware, can't say enything about wood...

Tnx Dule,my thoughts exactly. I still wonder about that monster bd shell.
It's probably cobbled from two drums.
Some of the hardware looks almost "Swinger"ish to me.
Distinctly remember some company coming out with that bass drum set up. It was a deep one, a shallow one, but they clipped together too. Probably about the time John Otto came out with that daft deep bass drum...

Zickos 22, 16, 14, 13, clear acrylic and snare
Lugs and bass drum and tom mount are 100% Ceskoslovakian Amati, and those 2 toms on the stand have Takton lugs, and something was done with hoops and that stand for 2 toms, repainted or some chemical proces...

Yeah, they really DO look like Amati, but could be something that Amati copied.
