You may want to do some searching of completed listings on eBay, that price is a bit unrealistic for that kit in the condition shown. Sentimental value is always a bit higher than real value.

Good Luck.

Same kit just sold for $1650, see below. I'm missing one concert tom and the snare, but I'm also including the concert tom bracket as well as the vintage Slingerland cymbal stands.

VDC's drums aren't a good indicator, they're usually higher and the items he sells are in almost mint to very good condition. Your set has scratches, dirt and needs cleaning, as well as it doesn't have the COB snare that is shown on VDC's kit. Yours is also a 22" bass drum, where his is 24". If you are asking a higher than normal price, to get what you want, it must be rare or just like it came off the factory floor.

As I said earlier, the price is a bit unrealistic, not saying you won't find some gullible enough to pay it.

Good Luck with your sale.

Why would you try to sell a drum kit at any price without cleaning it up? Sell the Pearl snare by it's self, don't put it with a vintage kit. Clean those babies up, make them shine. Set the kit up and take some good pictures of them, then you might get the going price for them. (not $1450) That's just Marketing 101.
