vintage metronome - trinome

Loading...

hello,

i've been working out of the ralph humphrey book "even in the odds" and in it he speaks of a metronome called a "trinome" that i'm very interested in tracking down. Its a polyrythmic metronome so one can hear what 5 over 4 over 9 sounds like. A company called Billotti made it.

if anyone has any idea where i could find one, or any info about it,

it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hello jt...

I remember the Trinome... boy, that brings me back! I remember when this came out, not the exact year, but I remember it's concept. Pretty radical at the time. A drummer friend of mine bought one... we had a neat time playing with it. Not sure WHAT he did with his. Anyway,

To answer your question: Like just about anything else on the planet, the Trinome comes up on eBay every now and then. THREE of them have sold within the past couple of months. Prices range all over the spectrum... all depends who's looking and when. You can type in just Trinome, or Billotti Trinome, or Metronome in the search box. If any are available, they will show. I believe the last one sold back in May... so keep trying.

I've had a few over the years...try eBay as that's where I sold all of the ones that I owned...
