Play with decent hardware and a good snare drum.I dont anyone could tell the difference live or on a recording.In fact the bass drum and toms actually sound fuller to me.I think its the blended woods they used back then;eg;poplar/mahogany...luan/spruce,and a lot of mystery wood im sure.

Hi,Nice wrap! I love blue/ blueish (correct word?) much more than all theother colours.Can you, please, make a close-up pic of the badge? I would like to see it.Beltone - never before heard of ...From the distance the lugs don't look much like Pearl's/ or similar.Can you also make a pic of the lugs?I guess the bass drum hoops are made of plastic?Ralf

It's curious, that Pearl seemed to use Slingy-like lugs
at some time then ... (if only under the brand Beltone).

NB, concerning the different comments on Japanese
hardware parts on vintage sets. The very early Pearls
and Stars (now: Tama) have been produced with
OUTSTANDING chrome lugs, rims etc. - MY experience.
Mainly their stencil brands used partly (mainly?) shabby
chrome parts which are wellknown for chrome-pitting.
