I am looking at some old super sensitive, brass snare drums. Most of the snare wires are in bad shape. When I was a boy in drum corps we set up the snares with old 16" snares cutdown and soldered to fit the mechanism (14" drum). For the gut we used tennis gut and got some copper crimps to compleat the combination gut. Does anyone know if I could find crimps for gut and long snappy snare wire to cut and fit in 14" super sensitives mechanism? For orchestra drums. Thanks guys
