These drums are still for sale! I just spoke with him earlier today...I am really considering making the drive to pick them up.

What do you all think?

I've done a bit of research and the "kit" doesn't really make sense. Its not really important, but I am curious. The bass drum is stamped 1959, so I assume it is a Downbeat, but the snare size does not match, and there is no tom/tom mount holes. Any info here would great!

I have never seen anything like that! That is too cool, haha. Yeah, I would pick that up, seems like a pretty good deal when you think $250 for each drum. Odd finish, odd sized snare, pretty sweet!
