Vintage (60's) Slingerland Drum Set with Cymbals

Really... NO ONE is interested? Common, there has to be someone looking at this kit? What am I missing?

There are a lot of factors at play here.. first and foremost, the economy has many people reluctant to spend money!

Also, the BDP finish is one of the least popular in vintage drums. I say that based on a few factors and there are people that really like it, but on the level of most popluar finishes this is closer to the bottom.

Also, not everyone wants a complete kit with the cymbals.

So in this case, I would probably split the cymbals, hardware, snare and drums if you really need to sell it and make that kind of money.

Otherwise, I would probably just wait and the buyer that has to have it may eventually show up and drop the money..

I agree with Webmaster David...though I would like to have the whole deal, I simply cannot spend $1400 for it.

If you would offer just the drums + original heads, etc. the price may be within range.

I happen to be one of the few who really like BDP a lot...I hadn't even realized I was a minority until now!

Thanks for the response guys! Absolutely everything you guys said makes sense. Except the pearl finish trend, I was also under the (false?) impressison that pearl finishes were more sought after. You learn something new every day.

So, if I may, what are your recommendations on splitting it up? I'll openly admit I havn't researched snare prices nor do I have any real idea what the other 4 pieces would be worth on their own.

I was thinking something like this:

Cymbals: 1,000.00 obo

Snare: 300.00 obo

Drums: 400.00 obo

????

Thanks for all the input again!

Price dropped to $1,200.00 for EVERYTHING!!!

I figure this is a long shot but why not right? I will consider trades for 600cc (or lower) sportbikes.
