Sadly, I'm selling my drumset which I recently purchased. Around the time I got it, you all gave me quite a good bit of information about it, so thanks! It's up on ebay, but I figured I'd let you all know about it! Please feel free to make an offer you think is fair, but I'm not looking to split it up.

THE SNARE DRUM: 14" L-400 Supraphonic

The L-400 is one of the most respected and widely used snare drums in the world. The one included with this kit is in wonderful condition, with only minor pitting and dust. The throw is smooth and in great shape, and the lugs work fine. Also, it has both ORIGINAL heads and snares! It's currently tuned to a high crack, but it can do anything!

THE DRUMS: 13" rack tom, 16" floor tom, 22" bass drum

These drums were made RIGHT before Ludwig switched over to 6 ply drum shells, and subsequently fell out of favor in the 80's. These are 3 ply (maple-birch-maple) shells with solid maple reinforcement rings. The thinner shell design provides a warmer, nicer sound. The drums are wrapped in very hard to find vintage walnut cortex, which is both lovely and durable. The drums and hardware are in great shape overall. Very little pitting on the hardware, and no problems with the wrap except for some small dings and scratches. Remember, these drums are 35 years old! The bearing edges should be re-cut sometime in the next 5 years for the best possible tuning. The drums also include ALL the ORIGINAL heads, as many collectors would argue that this is the true Ludwig sound! (The 13" tom currently has a coated Remo Ambassador on it, but the original head is included, along with brand new 13" and 16" Remo Clear Ambassadors.)

I'm not great at tuning drums, and these drums have 35 year old heads, but they sound INFINITELY better than my last Pearl Export kit, and all the Pearl Vision Maple and Gretsch Catalina Maple kits I have played!

THE CYMBALS: Zildjian Avedis cast bronze cymbals, in almost new condition. I bought these brand new very recently, and they've never left my house. They have fingerprints and stick marks, but no cracks or other damage. Still quite shiny! This is a professional, matched set-up!

10" Armand Splash - quick and bright. Close-cut grooves give it a vintage sound.

16" and 18" Medium Thin Crash - natural and loud, classic crash sound. Great for hard-hitters, swells, anything you want to do with them. In my opinion, the Medium Thins are the best Avedis crash cymbals. Warmer and lower than Mediums, way prettier than Rock.

21" Sweet Ride - this is the ride Travis Barker from Blink-182 uses, just in a traditional finish. Clear, loud bell, great amount of wash to built up a wall of noise. Extremely crashable... some drummers use them just for that. Not an annoying ping, very pleasant.

14" New Beat Hi Hats - the classic heavy bottom medium heavy top combo that Zildjian pioneered around the 60s. Great chick and stick.

HARDWARE

All the hardware you need is included in this sale. It's a mixture of Tama, Ludwig, Percussion Plus, etc. There's enough here for you to set things up exactly how you like it. You get:

2 Snare Stands: vintage Ludwig for the snare, one for the 13" tom. (Original bass drum mounted tom arms are included.)

2 Straight Stands: one for the 16" crash, one for the ride.

2 Boom Stands: one for the 18" crash, one for the splash.

Percusion Plus Throne

Vintage Slingerland Bass Pedal - Fits nicely on the hoop between the bottom lugs.

Pearl hi hat pedal.

I think I also have an extra boom stand, which is yours if you want it.
