No jazz fest is worth over 500 except perhaps black oyster ringo. Even of blue is more rare. Especially in this economy.

Not true at all... check ebay completed listings... 350-500 is the going rate for a jazz fest in a common finish.
hard to say whats somethings worth, but if its worth is based on what someone will pay for it then 500 is by no means the limit or going rate on several finishes.
oyster pink pearl, galaxy, mod orange, citrus mod, psychedelic red, green sparkle,burgandy...all of these colors command premium prices.
ive seen a pink oyster pioneer sell for 2000 in the last year or so. galaxy jazz festivals most always bring a grand or more. citrus mod and mod orange really ring the bell.
items like these don't usually take too big of a hit in poor economic conditions. the pricey stuff usually stays pricey..

I sold one for $1000 shipped to Europe last year.

Not a JF - but sold sold a SBP Super Classic for 1300 few months ago. Point being, if you have a showroom quality x then you never know. So a JF in a common wrap in uncommon condition will bring top $ unless you chance it with a ridiculous auction which every cheap a$$ drummer will wait til 10 seconds to try to screw you out of it. That is the reason I never start an auction @ 99 cents,
Chris
