I just received delivery of some wrap which is the tape kind. It's excellent quality wrap, btw. However, in laying it up to the shell for a look, I can see that this method is going to leave quite a few spots on the drums where the wrap is not tight. I started thinking about glueing it; but the problem is (see pictures) the wrap has to sit in the middle of the shells (because they have had their bearing edges radically re-cut). So I won't have a wall to guide me - if I mess up laying the piece of wrap dead centre - I'm screwed. If I use the low-bond tape (and some clamps) to fix it dead centre; then glue up the shell and wrap and attach it, thus preserving the dead centre of the wrap? Could this work? Any other ideas? (And no - there is no-one here who can do this job). Thanks for your time - it's much appreciated.
