I just received this an email from Donald Mulligan from Delmar Products who wrote:
"Real Champagne sparkle has always been available from us. We recently have also produced a less expensive version due to the cost of the Champagne Sparkle. Both are currently available. You can contact one of the companies that distribute our materials and they should be able to help you. Precision Drum, Drum Supply House, Jammin Sam or Drums and Some."
Well, all of the vendors he listed (along with the Lawton Drum Company for that matter) either don't have Champagne Sparkle listed on their site, OR have it designated as "Unavailable" or "Discontinued."
Jack Lawton did tell me awhile back that, due to the high price of copper, the wrap had become so expensive that vendors like Precision Drum didn't want to carry it anymore. Jack was able to secure enough of the material directly from Delmar Products to finish a bass drum project for me, but it took almost a year. Oh well, just posting this information for those out there looking for the old-style Champagne Sparkle wrap. Good luck!
