That's a beautiful kit. I'd say take your time, do more research before doing anything to the crack. Find the best options available. You can only fix that crack once.

Simply adding adhesive to the ends of the crack is not going to stop it from spreading. The next time that shell takes a hit, that crack will run around the shell like a wildfire. The right way to do that job is; drill a hole at the end of each crack, 'stops' then fill it. The rub is; you need special bits to drill acrylic or you run the risk of shattering the shell into a thousand tiny pieces.

That's why I recommended (and still recommend) securing the services of professionals. It's not a 'run-of-the-mill' repair job. Trust me, I know. I've worked with enough Vista shells to know when a job is a DIY deal or one best left to a pro. If you want to save that shell, get the job done right the first time. I'll say no more. You asked, I responded, it's your call how you want to handle it.

Wow! Looking good. Good job. You'll enjoy the kit. I shine a couple of small spots from each side up onto mine at gigs. My grandkids tell me it looks like the kit glows in the dark.
