Y'know, I am thinking that it is Italian, possibly a UFIP, or a very rare Tosco MM (Martelato a Mano, or literally "hand-hammered") series. Sounds and looks like it. Can you get a detailed closeup pic of the bell and surrounding area?

It is strange that there's no trademark at all on this thing. And yet it sounds good. It looks Turkish to me. Maybe a creation from some rogue cymbalsmith. You know, it's rumored that just about every 7th house in Istanbul has smelting furnace in it.
