Uknown 15" x 2.5" Brass/Copper Single-Tension marching snare

From oddball

it`s gonna come back as duplex or sonor. Both used red copper and screw adjustment tension snares. Because there is no triangle stamped into the shell i lean towards duplex. They did the hoop t-rod attaching and fancy thumb nuts on single tension snares. Both made them in piccalo sizes too. That leg brace screems sonor. I found a similar duplex that makes me think duplex. I`ll try and find that sonor marching leg piece too. Look at the strainer on this duplex. I`ve learned that if it`s a fancy copper snare, and it`s not a sonor,...it ends up being a duplex.

thank you!!

Found this one too. While not exact by any means, it's very very similar.

From traditional grip

I think that one is too basic. Duplex and SONOR went the mile and fancy stuff.

But it`s possible for sure it could be British.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

I got in touch with Mike Cooper and he pointed me to Emmanuel at oldrums.sfr.fr.

Turns out....It's French!

Most likely metric, (38 cm), which is 14.96 inches, which is why a 15" head is ever so slightly too big, but not too big that it won't work.

I'm very happy to have this puzzle solved, it could be one of 4 makers: Couesnon, Beuscher, GautiƩ, Pelisson

Impossible to tell without a stamp.

I'm sadly thinking about selling it, as I just have too much gear and am slimming down everything I own (Clothes, drum gear, media, books, etc.) for the new year.

Thank you to everyone for helping out on this identification!

Glad you figured out the mystery. I was keeping an eye on the thread in case someone was able to ID it. If your thinking of selling it pm me and let me know
