Last night I was given a 16" UFIP ( appears to be a Med/Heavy Crash ) .. stamped is RITMO. plus a faint Inkmark says "Green"..

Would anyone have an idea of the vintage of this... have not actually had a chance to try it yet but it's in reasonable shape..

Cheers

John

Not too sure what the "Green" is all about, but Ritmo were fine, roto-casting cymbals. These were around in the 70's early 80's. I had a 20" Med Ride with brilliant finish that was much like the Zildjian Constantinople & CIE of around the same era. I think Charlie Parker of Rolling Stones was fond of them. Definitely some nice cymbals.

Actually attempted to clean off some deep grained crap off the cymbal using various means (each being non abrasive)... So the inked stamp is not "Green".. as I first deciphered... but simply says Crash...

It does sound nice and very similar to a Paiste 2002 16" crash that I use regularly... First impression after an A-B comparison ...UFIP gets first place...

I'll try it with the band at rehearsal over the weekend....

Cheers
