Truck Load of vintage drum sets and snares for sale

Loading...

Hi. Thought I would post this here first before going to Ebay, as a heads up to you serious vintage collectors. A customer consigned to me his entire vintage drum collection, more than a dozen drum sets and about 40 snare drums, some cymbals, misc. hardware, etc. to sell. He is suffering from a very nasty disease and needed to sell his drum and guitar collections. I picked them up this past weekend in D.C. and we just started going through the stuff here at the shop today. I just finished putting the cymbals up on Ebay. The only real choice vintage cymbals is an Oooooold set of K hats, one thick bottom and one very thin top ( early New Beats; Old Beats? :p.)

I'm going to post the owner's list here, which may be a little inaccurate, and will publish a more detailed list after we inspect and photograph it all. We have not set prices yet. As soon as the owner approves our appraisal prices we will post the items to Ebay and You Tube. If any of you knowledgeable gentlemen are interested in anything on the list, please email me george@georgesdrumshop.com or sales manager Matt Middleton, Sales@georgesdrumshop.com to discuss doing a purchase outside of Ebay.

I am trying to get a fair price for the items, considering the circumstances, but not asking top dollar as a starting price. Please don't email with any lowball offers. We've already had enough of those from the vultures among my local customers :-)

Any discussion details and/or errors in our descriptions and listings would be appreciated. I would especially like to know what everyone thinks the market value is of these kits, as I am doing research for the Blue Book of Drums that I'm writing. So stay tuned.

I just wanted to add that i had a Ludwig&Ludwig 5x14 brass snare drum with white enamel coating. There was somebody here, who had the 6,5x14 version with the same finish. I would say the finish is original.

I sold it for $350.
