tom lugs for 1983 tama superstar

Loading...

I have a beautiful deep cherry laquer Tama Superstar x-tra series 8 piece kit will all original hardware. I bought it new in 1983 - we have logged a lot of bars - and a lot of bars - together! I need to replace some broken lugs. I would like to find the original replacement lugs instead of upgrading to what is readily available. Anyone know where I can find them?

They are fairly common on 3bay-just make sure they are tom and not bass drum lugs.I have a set of Cherrywine Tama Supers, and they may be the best drums I have ever owned...

Thanks! Yes these shells, much like the drummers who play them, just sound better with time. If only I still looked as young as they do...I need more laquer!

Got an 81 first-owner Superstar with less than five live performances ... and a restored 83 Superstar (rack toms shortened by around 1,5"). I replaced a few of the old lugs which were very pitted. Be careful when you by from ebay, some of these 30 years old lugs have serious chrome pitting, which can't be polished away entirely.

don't know where you're located, but this guy seems to come by a lot of Tamas and parts... some good articles, too
