Hi: I'm debating whether or not to buy this drum (pics attached) which, other than the shell cracks, is in good condition. Or buy another of the same size which I will have to re-wrap to match my finish on my existing Slingerland '70s blue agate set, or just be patient and wait till I find the right drum, no rush. I'm a woodworker and can repair it, but I'm concerned about sound of the drum, the cracks further spreading, structural integrity, etc. I'm guessing this drum was over-tightened for a long period and/or in a dry climate, but not sure. I've never had a drum with shell cracks so not sure if this drum is bad or it's just cosmetic.
Thanks for your input!!
