Hi, I am in San Francisco for a few days, in the Forest Hill area. Can anyone give me any tips where to look for vintage gear? Especially cymbals.

Thanks a lot!

Try Starving Musician in Santa Clara. I bought some cool stuff there over the years.

https://starvingmusician.com/cart/drums-c-3259/

They also have stores in Berkeley and Santa Cruz.

Guitar Showcase in San Jose has a used/consignment shop that I bought some cool stuff from.

1971 Ludwig Rock Duo set in Blue Oyster Pearl
early Mapex dual bass drum Saturn kit
1964 Leedy Ray  Mosca kit in Blue Sparkle
1959 Slingerland Super Gene Krupa snare in WMP
1968 Slingerland Hollywood Ace Snare Drum
1969 and 1977 Ludwig 400 Supraphonic snares
1965 Acrolite snare
Ludwig Coliseum snare
'68 Rogers Dynasonic snare
Pearl free floating piccolo snare
13" Mapex piccolo snare
6.5" deep Mapex steel snare
Mapex 6.5" Brass snare
I know there's more snares than that.
UFIP cymbals / Avedis Zildjians
Ghost pedals or Tama King Beats

Up in San Raphael(about a 1/2 hour drive) ,you've got Drummers Tradition and Banana's at Large.

If you want to drive to Sacramento(about 90 minutes) ,you've got Guitar Center and Skips.

There's a GC in Emeryville too.

There's a drummer by the name of Elvis who's Croatian and in a big name rock band in Eastern Europe that runs the drum dept..
