A little advise please. I've decided that it is time to sell my vintage Ludwig & Ludwig snares. My question is how much I should ask for them as this site seems the appropriate place to sell and the webmaster insists that I have a set price for the drums prior to listing. So, what are they?

#1) Super-Ludwig (1928ish), 6.5 x 14, 10 lug. Original in unrestored condition. Painted Brass shell. Exceptions are Ludwig weather-master batter & Remo ambassador snare head. Also missing the Snare guards.

#2) Ludwig New-Era (1929'ish), 5" x 14", 10 lug, Chrome/Brass shell. Unique Scotch Snare drum. Drum has two internal (super-sensitive-like) snares. One under the batter head, one that goes down on-top of the inside of the snare side. All original except modern heads.

I've had the drums since 1980, when I swapped them for modern ludwig drums with my HS band director. I'm sure that they were purchased new from the school. Both drums will include a new hard fiber case.

Welcome

Can you post pics of the snares? This will help determine value...
