My "work in progress" WFL clubdate duco kit. 14x22, 9x13, 6 1/2x14, + ??? FT..... Of coarse the elephant in the room is the missing FT.

A question if I may for the experts on the forum here. Do any 50s WFL clubdate blue/silver duco 16x16 floor toms exist ? I've never seen any - but I'm no expert. I'd even be tickled to find to find a 12X15 50s WFL marching drum in the single lug blue/silver duco.

I did manage to recently buy a 60s Ludwig clubdate 14x14 in blue/silver duco - close but no cigar.

Any comments much appreciated - Thanks !

To bad about the bass drum but that is still one cool kit. I think I would try and restore the original finish. Here's a pic of my 59 super classic.Cam

Cam,

it's been painted more then once on the outside..lol

Insides are clean...

Gonna get Seppo (maybe) to reattach the bass drum seam..(it's nasty)

And both WMP & Orange glitter glass are my favs..(already have 2wmp's)

So this old Kit will never be anything better then a players kit..

Nice snare ...have an ident (57) in WMP..

I LOve that snare...it recent (bottomed out) on me at a gig a cpl weeks back..lol

The wires (holding tab) broke at the plastic tab (on the wires)...

During a tune..lol...had no pop,! Only thunk.!

The bartender is a drummer as well,

He quickly gave me some wrapping twine ...to loop it back on..haha..

Excel snare.

I believe it was only sold as a 3 piece. At least that's the way it was shown in the catalogs I had when I was a kid. I'm guessing anyone who wanted a matching 16 would have had to special order it.

I have a beautiful 1961 (shell date stamped Apr 6, 1961) Ludwig Super Classic. The Classic strainer is the WFL version. Does that count?!!
