Hey all,

I recently entered the vistalite drum club with the purchase of my Jason Bonham Ludwig signature set...Obviously, these are not vintage...They are loud with great projection...

There are a few companies that offered acrylic shells...I would like to see some!! Please feel free to post some pics...

Cheers

Second set of Ludwigs that I bought years ago. Late 70's Blue Vistalite Combos 22/12/13/16. Had the original plastic lugs from the factory. Put the plastics up for safe keeping and dropped in some classics for safe tensioning. Love these drums. They were and are stored out of sunlight and the shells are perfect. Have original heads on the bass. Have the originals for the toms and some nos silver dots and also some nos evans blue hydraulics for them. Also have all the original hardware, stands that came with them. Shown with period correct Avedis Hollow ink stamp models.

My 1970's Jellybean kit. 22" Bass, 14" Rack, 16" Floor Tom. No cracks, only issue is one of the previous owners put floor tom legs on the drum ( it was a clip mount ) One day I'll put actual Ludwig brackets & legs on. But all things considered, the job was done properly. There isn't any spider webbing or cracking where the holes were drilled.

And another L-arm off the tom! Was that period? Seems a little out of place, but I like it! Clapping Happy2

Gibraltar makes that cymbal arm that I use on the bass. I use it in a mount that slips inside the double tom mount tom holder. On the other one, that's simply the double tom holder in a stand. One one side of the tom holder, I used a ludwig L arm to fly the 17" cymbal as a crash using one less stand as the ride tom is also mounted there.

Mike that's interesting Ludwig used the plastic lugs on some vista's too. Was it the Standard series? I never knew that. I thought those were only used on the Educator kits.

Glenn.
