1964 in red pearl...
Here's my oldest Trixon snare - 1949-1951 13 ½“ x 9“ - in Black diamond pearl
A local drummer has a very rare Trixon for sale, for a very low price:
An all original (besides the heads, but with original logo) Green Sparkle Trixon set from the early '60 (probably 1962)20 X 16" bassdrum20 X 16" floor tom13 X 9" rack tom14 X 5" snaredrum with parallel strainer.
Blue Sparkle 1960's Trixon on the Bay. - NOT MINE
For those looking for a snare for their Trixon collection, I saw this on the bay and wanted to share:
This drum is a 1960's Trixon (made in Germany) 14 x 5 inch 8 lug snare drum. Is this the Telstar model?
The current bid is $79 with $25 to ship
Wish I had seen this one!!

Here's one and the price isn't too bad considering it looks to be (mostly) all there and in decent shape http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-50s-60s-TRIXON-CHAMPAGNE-SPARKLE-4-PC-DRUM-SET-MATCHING-SNARE-VERY-NICE-/142334901818?hash=item2123d23e3a:g:2TgAAOSwc-tY4Y2h
Three piece (no snare) Luxus. Mid sixties square lugs. The aquamarine wrap has the usual fade, but still attractive. Kit lacks the usual cymbal holder and the bass drum muffler mechanisms, but the rest of the pieces are all in place. Nice sounding kit, good attack and body.
Very nice drums guys!!
Cheers
